DJ Shadow, Six Days Remix, Motocross, & Jay Z

This video was uploaded was uploaded back in 2008. The rider is Julian Dupont, and the song is DJ Shadow's Six Day Remix. 2 reasons why I like this video - the riding is insane, and the song is dope! I've recently downloaded DJ Shadow's Six Days Remix from itunes and unfortunately it's part of the Fast and the Furious 3 soundtrack and you have to download the entire soundtrack to get this DJ Shadow track. Interesting move from a marketing side of things... I get that most of the songs on the soundtrack are not all that appealing and clearly DJ Shadow's track is out of place relative to the rest of the songs - so you get people like me that will spend the $9.99 on the entire soundtrack, just to get the DJ Shadow track, rather than me spending $0.99 if I was able to just download the one song. I've ran into this a couple of times - mainly exclusive songs from soundtracks - i.e. Brooklyn "We Go Hard" by Jay-Z - from the Notorious movie soundtrack (See video below)... Limewire???

Anyway - I've always been a fan of crazy motorcross videos - this one has a certain street style that seems different from the rest of the videos.

01TheOne: LED Watch Trend

LED watches are not new, and not exactly high tech. Today's digital watches have all sorts of tech in them - bluetooth, audio and video players, and SMS/e-mail - google the latest nokia watches as an example. 01TheOne LED watches are more of a fashion statement vs practical tech.

I picked up the Ibiza Ride (as seen in the photo above). It's pretty easy to read the time, and it definitely is a conversation starter when you read the time at night. The LED lights only light up when you push the side button. The first 2 columns of lights represent the hour, the 3rd column represents the tens of mins, and the last 2 columns represent the single minutes.

I really like this company, and the cool products they are producing. Check out their website for the rest of their watches. http://www.01theone.com/home/

Hybrid Car Perks @ IKEA - Happy & Confused

Going to IKEA on the weekend is as much fun as going to the dentist to get a tooth pulled. This weekend was no different - tons of people and very little parking (except if you drive a hybrid like us). I wonder what they are trying to achieve by offering premium parking to hybrid drivers? I understand reserving parking for pregnant women, and disabled people, but doesn't really make sense for hybrid drivers. Maybe it's just a thank you from IKEA for burning less fossil fuel. If that's the case... You're welcome!
